The Africa Star was awarded to those involved in operational services west of Suez Canal, units stationed in Palestine who were called forward to Egypt in readiness for embarkation to Greece and spent at least 30 days in the qualifying area during March and April 1941.
Applicable Clasps – First Army, Eighth Army, North Africa 1942-1943. The colours of the ribbon represent the desert sands with dark blue – Navy, red – Army, light blue – Air Force.
Approximately 42,500 were issued to Australians.
All loose ribbon available in 30cm lengths, as full size or miniature.
