The Australian Service Medal 1945-1975 (ASM 45-75) ia a nickel-silver medal ensigned with the Crown of Saint Edward. The obverse features the Commonwealth Coat of Arms above a spray of goldern wattle. The reverse of the medal shows the Federation Star and goldern wattle.
The medal ribbon has a central stripe flanked by two green stripes which in turn are flanked by stripes of silver-grey, dark and light blue.
This award was established in 1994 by the Australian Government yet not issued till 1995. This medal was made retrospective to members of the Defence Forces for Service in warlike and non warlike situations between 1945 and 1975.
