Instituted in 1998. This medal is awarded on completion of 15 years service & supersedes the DFSM, the RFD & the RFM. This medal takes in service in both the regular & reserve forces, can accumulate across services & does not discriminate between rank levels. Clasps are awarded for each further periods of five years efficient service.
