Instituted in 1982. Awarded to personnel of the Multinational Forces & Observers (MFO) created in 1979 to monitor the peace agreement between Egypt & Israel. Eligibility for the medal was originally 90 Days continuous service in the force, but this was raised to 170 Days in 1985.
